The Wagon Wheel House

Let's talk about the Ride!
What to expect!
Note: We do not mix Groups
So What's the Deal?
Well, the Landscape changes IMMEDIATELY upon leaving Meeteetse as we head South. Very likely, you've not seen this type of terrain and rock formations ever. You'll be mesmerized at what you see along the short and beautiful +/-25 minute highway drive to our access points.
It will make you WISH you could have such a drive to WORK every day.....instead of the 1 hour + commute in traffic you experience now. Hey, room to roam is one of the reasons WE live here!!
Then.. BOOM! We're IN it!!! Be prepared to be AMAZED!!
How to prepare?
You are free to bring your choice of Snacks AND your choice of Beverages. We also allow Dogs, with some restrictions (on leash, etc.) As always, we supply Coolers, have Rain Ponchos, Towels, Blankets, Phone Chargers, First Aid Kit, Walking Stix and more. YOU'RE NOT DRIVING, so make yourself comfortable. We encourage cameras, closed toed shoes (hiking?) and a hat.
The temperature changes in the Badlands are not nearly like what happens up towards Kirwin.
Elevations here are almost all below 6,000 ft above sea level. It will probably be warm.
What to do on the tour?
Obviously.... LOOK Around. Heck, it's a TOUR! But more importantly, we can stop wherever you want, pretty much. Your GROUP Spokesperson/LEADER can ask the Guide to go here, stop there and you guys will get to see what YOU want to see......CLOSE UP! Of course, safety first and the conditions may prevent some access points/stops. As it will be explained, you can take all the time you want to truly EXPERIENCE these Wyoming Badlands. (except the getting lost part!)

It will take your breath...
..when they speak into your Soul.
So What's the Deal? / Is this a Guided Tour?
When is the Season? / How long is the Tour?
Well, If you are a Rockhound, or the type that is amazed by natural terrain anomalies like Deep Valleys, Stunning Geological Rock Formations, AND you like being out away from people, in the middle of nowhere
(but safe)....... this could be for you. There's little resemblance to our sister company's adventures where YOU Drive through Woods and Valleys and Creeks & Rivers. Kirwin Ghost Town
All our Wyoming RIDES are Fabulous, just different. Why wouldn't they be? Wyoming has such a variety
of landscapes - from Mountain Forests, to Sandstone Mountains; Creeks & Rivers and Dry High Desert.
And then, there's the Badlands.
So What's the Deal?
Is this a Guided tour?
YES, This is a Guided Tour. You will not be driving. There are WAY too many roads,
side-roads, and rough conditions where the unfamiliar could get turned around, break down or get LOST!
You don't want that. We don't want that. [There's well over 500 Square Miles of HIgh Desert out there !]
Depending upon Season, your RIDE is either the World Famous GhostCoach or the Badlands Chariot.
Each Vehicle will accommodate up to 7 (seven) Riders.
What's the Season?
*Bureau of Land Management
Well, as we always say, the WEATHER out here determines almost everything. This TOUR generally runs from May through November.... sometimes earlier, sometimes later, but MOST of the year. The elevation is not nearly as high as Kirwin Ghost Town, for instance, so we can get into and through these BLM* Roads over a much longer period. If it's safe to go, we love sharing this Amazing Experience!
how long does the tour last?
Good Question. It depends. How much WALKING & GALKING are you gonna do? Typically a HALF DAY TOUR.
Most all of the Ride is across BLM* Land, so YOU can get out and WALK Around. Hike a Little. Or a lot!
We KNOW you'll be asking to stop here, stop there to gaze, take pictures or get out and 'touch it'.
How many side-roads are you gonna ask to go down? How many stops do you want to make?
There's sooooo much to see. The vastness of it all will amaze you.
